Hourly to Salary Calculator
Enter an hourly wage and your usual working pattern to see what it adds up to across a day, week, month and year. This is a gross (pre-tax) figure based on the numbers you enter.
e.g. unpaid leave you plan to take
At $35/hour, 40 hours/week and 52 weeks/year. Gross, pre-tax.
How this is calculated
We multiply your hourly wage by the hours you enter to get a weekly gross figure, then scale that up using the number of paid weeks per year you enter.
If you enter any unpaid weeks (for example, unpaid leave), we subtract them from the 52-week year before calculating your annual figure.
Daily gross assumes a standard 5-day working week, since that's the most common pattern. Your actual daily figure may differ if you work a different number of days.
Formula
Weekly gross = hourly wage × hours per weekAnnual gross = weekly gross × (weeks per year − unpaid weeks)Monthly gross = annual gross ÷ 12Daily gross = weekly gross ÷ 5Worked example
At $35/hour, 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year: weekly gross is $1,400, annual gross is $72,800, monthly equivalent is about $6,067, and daily gross is $280.
